Lift Engineer –£40,000-£45,000– Crayford, KentThe RoleAre you an experienced Lift Engineer with a minimum of 3 years lift experience across numerous manufacturer’s equipment? Day to day you will carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on our service portfolio, attending call outs as assigned, and complete an engineer’s report detailing work undertaken before leaving site.If you believe you can thrive in this role and be a real part in the growth of this company, click to apply.Key Responsibilities:The key responsibilities of a Lift Engineer include, but are not limited to:•Understand the application of the company’s integrated management system that controls Occupational Health & Safety and Quality Management (IMS) and its Environmental Management system (EMS) and the impact regards compliance and conformity to auditable accreditations: BS ISO 45001, BS EN ISO 9001 and BS EN ISO 14001•Adhere to all company policies and objectives, ensuring all aspects of health, safety and environment are followed•Review/complete all relevant risk assessments, work methods, etc. for tasks being undertaken, ensuring that all Safe Systems of Work, risk control measures, are understood and followed•Ensure all risks are eliminated or at least mitigated•Day to day attendance to carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on our service portfolio, attending call outs as assigned. Complete an engineer’s report detailing work undertaken before leaving site•Carry out minor repair work as required•Participate in the company’s 24 hr call out rota•Manage your own service route with minimum supervision. Where specified by the customer, ensure maintenance appointments are made in advance of your arrival•Ensure the lift environment is kept secure at all times and that all on-site procedures/customer requirements, sign-in, work permits, site access, etc. are adhered to•Report any unsafe practises, incidents, accidents (inc. those reportable to RIDDOR, Environment Agency, etc.) and near misses•Attend team briefs, safety meetings, tool box talks, etc.•Ensure your issued PPE/RPE is fit for purpose, maintained, stored correctly and worn as required for each task undertaken•Ensure any COSHH substance is listed on the company database before use and used/stored in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions to ensure safe usage and maximise environmental protection. Ensure safety datasheets and assessments are available for all substances•Only use portable electrical appliances that have been PAT tested and that any test equipment used to perform a SAFed test is calibrated•Identify at planning stage any environmental aspects and minimise any environmental impact•Ensure energy use, emissions to air, releases to water/land, waste generation etc. are suitably considered in order to minimise any environmental impact•Be an ambassador for our company in terms of your conduct and behaviour and help drive the company culture of ‘Aiming Higher’The CompanySince forming in 2009 we have thrived as a lift service company that offers a professional and personal service for all types of lifts in the United Kingdom.
