You will undertake typically one to four scheduled client visits per day. Your duties will include but is not limited to the following;Machine installations and commissioningAttend machine breakdowns, service or maintenance visits as requestedIdentify faults and repair a range of printing, labelling machineryReplace damaged components print heads, coders, rollers, belts, presses etc etc.Electrical fault find and repairRecord details of work undertaken and get customer sign offReport major defects and arrange for spare parts or machine collection as appropriate.Travel to customer sites throughout the UKCandidate:You will be a multiskilled engineer with good 3-phase electrical engineering and plc input/output skills.Ideally we are looking for candidates with previous experience in the maintenance and repair of food packaging, labelling and / or printing machinery.You will hold formal electrical engineering qualification 18th edition or equivalent, HNC or NVQ 3 in electrical engineering.This is a field engineer role and while the work is localised as much as it can be there will be 1 to 2 overnight per week. These are important positions within the R&D team and you will be key in driving the development of new audio products from initial design, through to production and post-production maintenance.The duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:Assisting with the design, input and modification of electronic schematics, with guidance from the Chief Engineer and experienced team.Undertaking the building and testing of electronic prototypes.Advising and assisting with the sourcing of components for prototype production and testing.Writing and performing new audio product tests, recording and presenting results.Brainstorming new product ideas and technical requirements/ specifications.Communicating with UK and overseas teams on project-specific topics.Possible, infrequent overseas travel as required - this is not essential, however can be an exciting opportunity for an engineer to broaden their knowledge and experience.The ideally sought candidate will possess some of the following: Degree qualified in electronics or similar engineering subject.Any commercial experience in electronic design, ideally in audio electronics, will be beneficial.
