      Role Purpose The role holder will play a lead role in supporting the business on the sourcing of: ∙ BUK Applications ∙ BI Applications Banking applications underpin the customer experience, operational stability and drive revenue across the banks operations. The role holder will need to blend commercial acumen with an appreciation of client vision to develop comprehensive sourcing strategies and approaches delivering value and managing risk. The role holder will provide category specific sourcing knowledge and experience to enable the effective: ∙ Leadership of end to end sourcing process ∙ Management of the commercial negotiations with third party suppliers ∙ Management of key business stakeholder relationships ∙ Identification and mitigation of business risks ∙ Delivery of favourable commercial outcomes The role holder will provide strong category knowledge and sourcing support to develop robust sourcing plans. Sourcing plan's will support end to end sourcing activity including the management of commercial negotiations with third parties, liaising with key business users across the bank to ensure favourable commercial terms which mitigate business risk. Sourcing is required to work collaboratively and strategically with the Client, internal Procurement teams, Legal and the necessary subject matter experts (SMEs), e.g. Tax, Risk and Information Security functions, and with external suppliers, to deliver a consistently high quality service, and the right outcomes for the bank, in the right way. Person Specification The successful candidate will: ∙ Have a detailed knowledge of commercial models and approaches/techniques necessary to achieve best in class deals across their category. They should have a proven ability to conduct engagement/communication with suppliers and stakeholders ∙ Have excellent contract negotiation skills in the context of the financial services industry and or regulated services environment, and strong networking and stakeholder management skills ∙ Be recognised internally as a subject matter expert in the context of their category, and will have a good understanding and experience of the full suite of sourcing tools and techniques ∙ Possess a good understanding of their category's marketplace and current industry practises, and the relevant commercial value drivers within it ∙ Be a decision maker, setting strategic direction within their own business area where driving continuous improvement and innovation will be core personal objectives ∙ Be confident and effective in communicating both internally and externally and continually building upon, and making new working relationships Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications The successful candidate will have: ∙ Strategic Sourcing experience within Technology ∙ Strategic Sourcing experience within Application Software and Services ∙ Experience of working within a multi-business unit/global organisation ∙ Experience of working within a regulated environment (ideally financial services) ∙ £500m+ addressable spend experience Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications ∙ Experience working within Financial Services ∙ Supply chain/value chain design experience ∙ CIPS Randstad Financial & Professional encourage applications from individuals of all ages & backgrounds.
