You will receive: Regular Performance review and recognition schemesFull induction and on-going trainingAuto Pension scheme enrolmentJob Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Setting and operating CNC Laser Cutting MachinesSafely using overhead cranes to load and unload plate steel from machinesStarts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as requiredCalculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as cutting speed, focal position, gas pressure etc…Select and set up lenses and Nozzles based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipmentInspection, maintenance and setting of cutting head components in order to achieve the best quality componentsUnderstand and interpret engineering drawings to verify conformance of machined part dimensions.Using gauges and measuring equipment to verify dimensions of parts produced.Safely using hand tools to remove burrs and finish machined componentsMaintaining equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.Conferring with engineers, production personnel, programmers or others to resolve machining problems.Maintaining continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulationsDocuments actions by completing production and quality logs.Keep work area clean and organisedContribute to the improvement of the work area by submitting ideas using a CI processSkills, experience & qualifications required; Good communication SkillsFamiliarity with hand tools and engineering equipmentAbility to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, engineering drawings, manuals Knowledge of 5S and lean principlesAbility to work with mathematical problems and deal with a variety of variablesExperience of working with CNC laser cutting toolsSkills, experience & qualifications you may have:Time Served in a relevant Engineering DisciplineRelevant experience in similar roleExperience of operating Trumpf and Bystronic Laser cutting machinesSome experience of automation systems would be advantageousClick apply today to gain a foot in the door and further your career within an industry world leader."We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age".
