      We are looking for a Buyer to work within a global leading health care company specialising in diagnostic equipment. Purpose of Role:Responsible for obtaining raw materials, components. Process requisitions and create Purchase Order (PO) executetransactions in an efficient, accurate manner, and according to Division and Corporate policies. Work closely with site Material Planners, and key partners in the Division. Executing plans supporting the end to end inventory strategies. The position requires strong analytical and excel skills with the ability to quickly analyse data and re-balance inventory to provide an optimal service level of performance. Main Responsibilities:* Creates and processes purchase orders, in accordance with documented purchasing processes to include, suppliers purchase orders and purchase order changes.* Create and execute supply plans to maintain inventory levels for all components & finished goods to meet both Customer and internal needs.* Executes purchasing plans, reports supplier performance, aligns with contracts, and processes purchase requests, whileensuring the timely and uninterrupted flow of materials between suppliers and site.* Communicates with Management and Stakeholders purchase order status, manages orders through completion and executes closures once fulfilled.* Interacts with suppliers and is responsible for maintaining and, enhancing good business relationship between Abbott and suppliers. communicate component specifications to suppliers.* Resolve and document purchase order discrepancies such as non-conformance, shortages, price or invoice discrepancies with suppliers.* Updates vendor performance data. supports development of supplier scorecards.* Manages material levels in MRP.* Uses continuous improvement to establish metrics, drive KPIs, standardise and automate tactical activities over time.* Support site projects that contribute to organisational goals.* Provides audit support of purchasing policies and procedures.* Other miscellaneous duties may be required. The individual will display a strong drive and commitment toward maintaining a safe and compliantwork environment, whilst ensuring the manufacture of safe and quality products which meet / exceedcustomer expectations.The individual will be aware of their expectations and display autonomy and accountability for theiractions. Addressing H&S issues must be given priority and upholding a good example is important.They must be sufficiently open-minded to react to changes in workload as priorities change.
