About Our ClientThis is an interesting and important role working for a fantastic public sector organisation based in Nantgarw on a temporary basis until the end of December possibly longer.The contract is working Monday to Friday at a total of 37.5 hours per week. Job ResponsibilitiesAssist with the implementation of the organisation's agreed Project Management Framework (PM Framework) to ensure that all programmes and projects are managed for success, in line with best practice, embedding a system of project management and documentation in the organisation.Ensure that the Strategic Objectives are monitored sustainably and support the rollout of the organisation's agreed IT project management system (Verto), supporting the specification and procurement of a system if required.Support the Programme Management Steering Group which reports into the Executive Team.Manage the new Programme Management network, providing support, training and development to project and programme managers across the organisation.Work closely with the senior finance team on tracking and reporting on delivery of investment benefits.A source of expert knowledge and experience and will have excellent technical and people management skills and experience.Provide high level support for projects led by the Programme Management Office (PMO) which will include undertaking specific pieces of work and managing and monitoring information. Skills requiredDegree or equivalent level of experience.Developed knowledge of the application and tailoring of project management methodologies.Experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive data and appropriate maintenance and storage of records.Experience of project implementation and monitoring ongoing projects.Experience of managing finance systems e.g. budget monitoring.Good organisational skills, and the ability to identify priorities.Ability to work on own initiative and self-manage workload.Excellent management, interpersonal and communication skills.Advanced IT/keyboard Skills.Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.Tenacious, driven and enthusiastic to achieve goals and see things through.Flexible approach to work to meet the needs of the business.Respectful and inclusive approach to all.Willingness to work together as part of a highly performing team.
