About the Role:
- Conduct thorough and timely investigations into allegations of abuse and neglect of children and adults.
- Develop and implement effective safeguarding plans, working collaboratively with multi-agency partners.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues on complex safeguarding cases.
- Supervise and mentor junior social workers, promoting best practice and professional development.
- Manage a complex caseload, prioritizing urgent cases and adhering to statutory timescales.
- Contribute to service development and improvement initiatives, ensuring continuous quality improvement.
Requirements:
- Registered with Social Care England.
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Significant experience in safeguarding is essential. Experience in a supervisory or senior role is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to safeguarding children and adults.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and case management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage challenging situations.
- Commitment to ethical practice and person-centered approaches.
