... - Qualifications: A relevant degree or professional qualification in Business Administration, Accountancy, HR, or a dedicated School Business Management qualification
- Safeguarding Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding children and Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidelines.
- Enhanced DBS: A valid Enhanced DBS clearance registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
- Eligibility to Work: Valid legal entitlement to work full-time in the UK.

- Regulatory Compliance: A deep understanding of safer recruitment, GDPR, employment law, and educational financial standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Prepare, monitor, and manage the annual school budget, ensuring maximum value for money and strict financial compliance.
- Staff Leadership: Line-manage and develop the non-instructional support teams, including administrative, finance, premises, and IT personnel.
- HR Administration: Oversee staff recruitment, payroll verification, contract administration, and the maintenance of the Single Central Record (SCR).
- Premises & Estates: Supervise the maintenance, security, and cleanliness of the school buildings and grounds, coordinating with external contractors as required.
- Health & Safety: Act as the designated Health & Safety lead, ensuring comprehensive risk assessments, fire safety checks, and compliance policies are strictly enforced.
- Procurement & Contracts: Negotiate, manage, and review service level agreements (SLAs) and supplier contracts to optimise school spending.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate closely with the Principal and the Trust to formulate long-term operational and capital expenditure strategies.
- Management Information Systems: Maintain and optimise school administrative databases and software to ensure data accuracy and streamlined reporting.
- Income Generation: Identify and pursue external funding streams, grants, and community letting opportunities to boost school revenue.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for the Trust, local governing body, auditors, and regulatory authorities regarding operational matters.
