Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver High-Quality Teaching: Plan and teach well-structured, engaging, and challenging Chemistry and Science lessons that foster a genuine love for learning.
Drive Student Progress: Set high expectations, build on prior knowledge, and adapt your teaching methods to support students of all backgrounds, abilities, and needs (including SEND, High Ability, and EAL).
Champion the Academy Vision: Actively support our safe, respectful, and stimulating learning environment while promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all students.
Collaborative Development: Contribute to dynamic schemes of work and collaborate closely with additional classroom support staff to ensure no student is left behind.
A qualified teacher who meets the current DfE Teachers' Standards.
Secure Subject Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Science/Chemistry curriculum with the ability to address misunderstandings and promote high standards of literacy and articulacy.
Data-Informed Practitioners: Ability to make accurate and productive use of both formative and summative assessments to track individual student targets and guide their next steps.
Excellent Classroom Management: Clear, fair, and consistent routines that align with our positive behaviour policies to maintain a focused learning environment.
