We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Qualified Science Teacher (QTS) to join a high-achieving Secondary School. Whether your expertise lies in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, we need a teacher who can deliver high-impact practicals and theory lessons that captivate students across KS3 and KS4. Your Responsibilities
- Dynamic Lesson Delivery: Plan and facilitate engaging lessons across all three sciences at KS3, with a specialised focus on your core discipline at GCSE.
- Practical Leadership: Execute safe, exciting, and educational practical experiments that bring the curriculum to life and foster scientific inquiry.
- GCSE Mastery: Prepare Year 10 and 11 students for their exams, focusing on core concepts, required practicals, and exam technique to maximise progress.
- Inclusive Scaffolding: Differentiate complex scientific concepts for mixed-ability classes, ensuring that both high-attainers and those needing extra support can succeed.
- Curriculum Innovation: Contribute to the development of schemes of work that integrate current scientific developments and real-world applications.
- Lab Safety: Maintain the highest standards of health and safety in the laboratory, working closely with the technician team.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. A degree in a Science-related field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Environmental Science).
- Inquisitive Mindset: A genuine love for your subject and the ability to inspire that same curiosity in your students.
- Classroom Management: The ability to maintain a focused and safe learning environment, particularly during practical sessions.
