Are you a Qualified Teacher looking to reclaim your work-life balance? Whether you thrive on the complete flexibility of day-to-day work or prefer the consistency of a long-term placement, we have fantastic opportunities tailored to your lifestyle.
We are currently partnering with an established portfolio of excellent secondary schools and academies throughout Norwich and the surrounding Norfolk area. We are experiencing a high demand for adaptable, proactive educators to support general cover requirements across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
This framework is ideal for general cover teachers who enjoy classroom variety, subject specialists happy to cover outside their main discipline, or Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to sharpen their behaviour management skills across different school environments without the pressures of full-time planning and marking.
Find Your Ideal Way of Working:
Day-to-Day Cover: Take complete control of your schedule. Choose exactly which days you want to work to perfectly fit around your personal commitments, studies, or lifestyle. It is a fantastic way to experience different school settings.
Long-Term Opportunities: If you prefer stability, we have fixed-term roles spanning a term or a full academic year (covering maternity, long-term sickness, or interim gaps). This is the perfect way to truly embed yourself within a local school team, provide consistent cover continuity, and see your students progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise secondary classrooms and deliver pre-prepared lessons across a variety of subjects as part of the school's general cover requirements.
Establish clear expectations and maintain high standards of behaviour in line with each individual school's behaviour policy.
Keep students motivated, focused, and safely on-task with the work provided by the absent subject teacher.
Collect completed work at the end of the lesson, ensure classrooms are left tidy, and hand over relevant feedback to the permanent department staff.
What We Look For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent qualification (e.g., QTLS or relevant FE qualifications).
Strong, confident classroom management skills and the ability to command respect from junior and senior secondary learners alike.
An adaptable, resilient, and proactive demeanour, ready to hit the ground running in vibrant, fast-paced secondary environments.
The ability to confidently step into different subject areas and facilitate a productive learning environment.
A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).
Benefits of Working With Us:
Competitive rates of pay, processed weekly and reflective of your experience level.
A dedicated local consultant with deep knowledge of the Norwich and wider Norfolk secondary education sectors.
A completely transparent service that works strictly around your personal availability.
The chance to explore different local schools, which frequently opens doors to permanent positions if that is your ultimate goal.
