This role is on a long-term basis with the genuine potential to transition into a permanent contract.

Skills Required
Exceptional skills in behaviour de-escalation, conflict resolution, and maintaining a calm, positive classroom environment.
The ability to differentiate the curriculum dynamically to meet diverse cognitive abilities and emotional barriers to learning.
A robust, non-judgmental nature with the capacity to remain professional and supportive during challenging situations.
Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team of classroom teaching assistants and liaise with pastoral support networks.
Job Responsibilities
Planning and delivering an engaging, adapted curriculum that accommodates the specific SEMH and academic needs of your pupils.
Implementing, tracking, and updating individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) to monitor small-step progress.
Effectively deploying and managing classroom teaching assistants to ensure a safe and highly supportive learning environment.
Acting as a positive role model and mentor, helping students build self-esteem, resilience, and emotional regulation skills.
Essential Requirements
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is mandatory.
Experience: Proven experience teaching children with SEMH needs or complex behavioural challenges within the UK.
DBS: An enhanced DBS on the update service, or a willingness to undergo a new check via Randstad.
Right to Work: Full eligibility to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
