Are you a passionate educator dedicated to empowering young minds through technology? We are currently searching for a highly motivated and skilled Computing Teacher to join our academic team for a one-year fixed-term contract. This is a high-priority appointment, and we are eager to identify a talented professional who can contribute to our vibrant learning community immediately.
You will drive development and rollout of a stimulating digital curriculum spanning Key Stages 2 through 4. You will be instrumental in equipping our students with digital literacy skills within an inclusive and nurturing schooling environment. Guiding learners through formal qualifications like GCSE and BTEC levels, you will thoughtfully vary your lessons to match every student's individual abilities.
We operate a strict no-sponsorship policy; all applicants must have a permanent right to work in the UK.
Working Hours: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:45 - 4, Wednesday from 8:45 - 4:30 and Friday from 8:45 - 3:30. On occasion you will be required to work additional hours to enable you to fulfil your role.
Your Role
- Design and implement an ambitious, balanced, and differentiated computing curriculum.
- Monitor student progress, using data to set challenging attainment targets and provide high-quality feedback.
- Cultivate a nurturing and secure classroom environment, with a rigorous focus on internet safety and digital responsibility.
- Collaborate effectively with parents, stakeholders, and colleagues to support student welfare and academic growth.
- Manage departmental resources, inventories, and budgets in adherence to school policies.
- Promote the school's core values and engage in professional development to enhance pedagogical effectiveness.
Essentials
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in computer technology.
- Substantial experience teaching computing to learners aged 7-19 with proven expertise in supporting students with special educational needs.
- A solid understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and digital literacy best practices.
- Ability to provide your own transportation due to the school's remote location.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check.
