Key Responsibilities:

EHCP Implementation: Work closely alongside individual Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure every student's academic, social, and emotional targets are met.
Classroom Collaboration: Lead, guide, and collaborate effectively with a dedicated team of SEN Teaching Assistants within your classroom to maintain a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment.
Positive Behaviour Support: Utilise trauma-informed practices, positive de-escalation strategies, and alternative communication tools (e.g., visual timetables, PECS, Makaton) to encourage active pupil engagement.
What We Look For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification.
Proven experience teaching or supporting children with special educational needs (highly advantageous, though mainstream teachers with a strong interest in SEN are encouraged to apply).
A patient, warm, and highly resilient approach to classroom and behaviour management.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build quick, authentic rapport with vulnerable young learners.
A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one immediately).
