The Opportunity
Are you looking for a profoundly rewarding career in Special Educational Needs (SEN) but don't have prior experience?
We are partnering with an outstanding specialist trust to recruit dedicated Teaching Assistants. This is an exceptional opportunity for entry-level candidates: no previous education or care experience is required, and there are no strict GCSE requirements. What matters most is your passion, resilience, and genuine desire to make a difference. The trust is deeply committed to staff development, offering fully funded training programs and the potential to be supported through HLTA and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) qualifications in the future.
About the Setting
This is a truly spectacular environment. The school is set within a beautiful stately home nestled on 22 acres of heritage land near Cranleigh. The incredible facilities are designed to support a holistic approach to learning and include stables, a football pitch, nature trails, sensory gardens, an onsite café, and an artist in residence! Staff even have access to an outdoor heated pool and a dedicated staff break room.
The trust supports students aged 5 to 19 with a diagnosis of autism (ASC) or associated needs. Please note that this setting upholds Christian religious values, incorporating morning prayer and Bible lessons into the routine. You do not need to be a Christian to work here, but you must be comfortable respecting and supporting the school's core values.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
We believe in complete transparency so you know exactly what to expect. In this role, you will:
Support small classes (6 to 8 students) alongside a Class Teacher and a team of Teaching Assistants, providing 1:1 support when required.
Proactively manage and de-escalate complex and highly challenging behaviours.
Embrace a holistic approach to education, assisting students both in the classroom and across the expansive 22-acre grounds (including nature trails and sensory gardens).
Support the religious and community-focused ethos of the school.
