Responsibilities- Provide dedicated, personalised guidance for individual students with additional learning needs (including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties).
- Lead and facilitate targeted learning activities for small groups to boost literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
- Foster a positive, safe, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Implement positive behaviour strategies in line with individual education plans (IEPs).
- Collaboratively monitor and record student progress to provide feedback to teachers and the SENCo.
- Modify teaching materials and sensory tools to match unique student learning styles.
- Proven professional experience working with children in an educational, care, or youth coaching setting.
- A genuine commitment to supporting young students with complex or additional learning needs.
- Strong, empathetic communication skills.
- Resilience and the ability to thrive in a dynamic classroom environment.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check (or the willingness to process one immediately).
- Relevant certifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or a degree in a relevant field are highly desirable.
