(Salary: £34,398 - £48,913 per year (M1 - UPS1 Fringe), based on 40 hours per week, £5,000 Welcome bonus)
Are you a dedicated educator who believes that building strong, trusting relationships is the foundation of effective learning? This role offers a teaching role which leans towards the pastoral side of education; we are searching for a qualified teacher who prioritises emotional well-being and wants to work closely with pupils within a smaller class alongside a multi-disciplinary support team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching tailored to pupils with diverse social, emotional, and sensory needs.
- Contribute to the development of the curriculum, ensuring educational, physical, and social needs are met.
- Create a calm, non-confrontational learning environment and nurture student's growth and wellbeing.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Maintain and implement personalised lesson plans, monitoring student progress against individual targets.
- Manage challenging behaviours in accordance with established school policies.
- Contribute to the review of EHCPs and other formal reporting processes.
- Proven experience working within special school settings, specifically with pupils who have Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and SEND.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and the ability to deliver a differentiated curriculum.
- A solid understanding of ASC and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

- Additional specialist qualifications in SEND and experience in curriculum development for learners with autism.
