This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated residential care team supporting older people living with dementia. The home is warm, welcoming, and part of a wider care community that values dignity, respect, and love in everything we do.
The service is entering a period of renewal and growth, with investment in new staff, training, and quality improvements. As a Senior Care Worker, you'll play a vital role in leading by example supporting your team to deliver high standards of person centred care and ensuring every resident receives the compassion and respect they deserve.

- Senior Care Workers (Day and Night Shifts)

Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of care staff, ensuring high-quality standards of care are delivered at all times.
- Oversee daily care delivery, including medication management, care planning, and documentation.
- Act as a key worker, contributing to and reviewing individual care plans in consultation with residents, families, and professionals.
- Provide supervision, guidance, and on-the-job training to care staff.
- Assist in rota planning and staff allocation to ensure appropriate cover.
- Participate in audits and contribute to service improvement plans.
- Support with recruitment, induction, and staff development.
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents and staff.
- Promote wellbeing and dignity, fostering a culture of kindness and professionalism.
- Take responsibility for the home in the absence of the Service Manager or Deputy.
To be considered for the role, ideally you will have:
- Relevant SVQ Level 3 in Social Care (essential) and a willingness to work towards SVQ Level 4 or PDA in Supervision/Medication.
- Proven experience supporting older people, ideally those living with dementia.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop others.
- Basic IT literacy for care planning and reporting.
- Registered or eligible for registration with the SSSC.
- A member (or willing to join) the PVG Scheme.
- Respectful of a Christian-based ethos, supporting people of all faiths and none with compassion and understanding.
