We are currently recruiting a skilled Senior Social Worker to join the Children in Need (CIN) Team based at Halford House, Leicester. Offering a top market pay rate of £38.00 per hour, this role stands out for its realistic, manageable workload-keeping caseloads capped at approximately 20 children per Social Worker-giving you the time to focus on quality statutory interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complex Case Management: Manage a statutory caseload (~20) focusing on high-pressure Child Protection (CP) and Children in Need (CIN) cases across Leicester City.
- Court Work & PLO: Lead on care proceedings, pre-proceedings (PLO), and produce high-quality, analytical court reports for high-acuity cases.
- Safeguarding & Assessments: Complete Section 47 enquiries, child and family assessments, and robust risk management plans.
- Multi-Agency Working: Partner with local schools, health teams, Leicestershire Police, and early intervention services.
What We Are Looking For:
- Professional Registration: Active registration with Social Work England (SWE).
- Essential Experience: Proven post-qualifying experience in statutory Child Protection and Court proceedings.
- Key Skills: In-depth working knowledge of the Children Act 1989/2004, court frameworks, and robust analytical assessment skills.
