If so, Randstad is recruiting for a Senior Social Worker to join the Birmingham Trust- This is a full-time role offering up to £33.30 per hour.
Here's the Role:
- Managing Complex Caseloads: Holding a caseload of children subject to care proceedings, including pre-proceedings (Public Law Outline - PLO) and active court work.
- Court Work Expertise: Preparing high-quality, evidence-based court statements, care plans, and parenting assessments. Confidently presenting evidence in court and working effectively with legal representatives, Cafcass, and other expert witnesses.
- Child-Centred Practice: Ensuring that the child's wishes, feelings, and experiences are central to all assessments, planning, and decision-making.
- Assessment and Analysis: Undertaking comprehensive and analytical assessments of parenting capacity, risk, and protective factors to inform care planning and court recommendations.
- Multi-Agency Collaboration: Working intensively and effectively with children, families, carers, legal professionals, health and education partners, and other statutory and voluntary agencies.
- Mentoring and Support: Providing guidance, support, and mentoring to less experienced social workers within the team, sharing your expertise in court craft and complex casework.
- Promoting Permanence: Striving to achieve timely and sustainable permanence outcomes for children, whether that be reunification, placement with alternative carers, or adoption.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate, detailed, and timely case records in line with statutory requirements and Trust policies.
- Contributing to Service Development: Actively participating in team meetings, contributing to practice development initiatives, and upholding high standards of social work practice.

Requirements:
- Social Work England registered
- Social Work Degree or equivalent
- Enhanced DBS
Experience:
- Children's Social Work
