Project Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to lead a section of works on a major highway project in Norwich. This is a long-term contract offering an immediate start, with lodge accommodation or a daily lodge allowance fully funded by the client for those travelling.
You will have total operational responsibility for your section, managing the engineering team, supervising subcontractors, and driving production. Extensive experience delivering major roadworks under National Highways specifications is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Section Delivery: Take full ownership of your assigned highway package, managing the program, resources, and subcontractors to hit key milestones.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the section site engineers and supervisors, ensuring accurate engineering control and compliance.
Planning & Programming: Develop and review 2-4 week look-ahead programmes, coordinating plant, labor, and material requirements.
Health & Safety: Write, review, and implement RAMS. Enforce strict site safety and Chapter 8 traffic management standards.
Commercial & Quality: Manage section costs, track outputs against target budgets, and oversee the close-out of ITPs and quality documentation.
Requirements
Highway Experience: Significant experience as a Site Agent or Senior Sub Agent on heavy highways or major infrastructure schemes is mandatory.
Technical Background: Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering.
Certifications: SMSTS, CSCS Black or Gold Card, and First Aid are essential.
Leadership: Strong programming, commercial acumen, and communication skills to manage site teams and interface with the client.
