We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Supervisor to join a leading Tier 1 specialist contractor for a major infrastructure project in Northumberland. Our client is a premier name in civil engineering and reinforced concrete structures, known for delivering high-spec projects across the UK.
This role involves overseeing critical groundworks and structural elements within a high-security environment. If you thrive in highly regulated settings and have a "safety-first" mindset, this is a career-defining project.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Manage daily site activities, ensuring groundworks, drainage, and concrete pours are completed to strict technical specifications.
- Health & Safety: Enforce rigorous safety standards and ensure all personnel adhere to site-specific security mandates and RAMS.
- Workforce Management: Supervise direct labor and sub-contractors, delivering daily inductions and toolbox talks.
- Logistics & Security: Coordinate the movement of plant, materials, and tools in compliance with the stringent security protocols of a live secure facility.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, site diaries, and quality checklists.
Requirements
- Experience: Significant experience in a supervisory role within civil engineering or heavy groundworks.
- Qualifications: SSSTS or SMSTS (Essential). CSCS Gold/Black Card. NVQ Level 3.
- Vetting: You must be able to pass enhanced security clearance and background checks. A clean criminal record is essential for this location.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read drawings, manage levels, and oversee complex RC works.
