      Maintenance / Building Surveyor - Portsmouth (PO6) - Temp to Perm - Leading Building Maintenance Company Our leading FM and Building Maintenance provider has a new exciting opportunity for a proven Maintenance / Building Surveyor to join the team based from Portsmouth. The base location is Cosham although may require travel to sites within the local regionThis is initially a contract position and will become permanent.Monday to Friday 8-5 £45k-49k (PAYE) Start end November The Role:Working with a market leading team, you will be required to develop short term work plans for delivering specific maintenance work, ensuring that these are in accordance with established operational plans and are well managed.The role will focus on the following requirements:* To provide commercial management of sub contractors for maintenance, capital variations, small works and lifecycle works * The Commercial management of Lifecycle equipment replacement Projects, Trust Capital variations & Small Works projects.* Ensure all technical information provided is accurate to legislative standards * Assist Supply Chain Management in the prequalification and procurement of major suppliers/sub-contractors/consultants.* To issue works orders ensuring compliance with legislative, contractual and workmanship requirements including the briefing and commissioning of all consultants and clients.* Pricing/Estimating costs for project works inclusive of reactive and planned M&E maintenance costs & risk.* Identification of risks and opportunities and evaluation of options.Experience / Knowledge:* HNC Quantity Surveying or a related qualification with supported experience* IT skills and experience of working with database systems are essential in ensuring an effective service.* Specific knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and regulations is essential.* Experience of contract administration, including knowledge of building construction, maintenance and refurbishment techniques are required.* Numeracy, statistical, communication and presentation skills are also essential, together with experience in budgetary control.* Experience in a building design or maintenance environment, with experience in a variety of construction situations.Experience of Building Regulations and planning applications (CDM regs 2015 an advantage)For more information, please apply today or contact Sophie on 01489560039 Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
