Job Title: Static Fabric Engineer
Location: Greater Manchester (Static Commercial Site)
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours, Monday - Friday)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Static Fabric Engineer to join our dedicated Facilities Management team. Based full-time at our commercial site in Greater Manchester, this permanent position is key to delivering high-quality maintenance and reactive services across our building.
As our Fabric Engineer, you will be the primary contact for all building fabric maintenance. You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding swiftly to reactive repair tasks, ensuring our facility remains safe, compliant, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
Fabric & Joinery: Perform a wide range of joinery and carpentry tasks, including repairs to doors, windows, and furniture, as well as general building fabric work.
Planned & Reactive Maintenance: Manage a schedule of planned maintenance (PPM) while responding efficiently to day-to-day reactive repair needs.
Multi-skilled Tasks: Confidently handle a variety of tasks across other trades, including basic plumbing (e.g., tap washers, unblocking sinks), minor electrical work, painting and decorating, and general building upkeep.
Health & Safety: Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and statutory regulations, including conducting point-of-work risk assessments for every task.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance work, including tasks completed, materials used, and any necessary follow-up actions.
What You'll Need to Succeed

Essential Requirements:
Formal Qualification: You must be a qualified Joiner with a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry and Joinery or an equivalent certification.
Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in a similar multi-skilled or fabric maintenance role, ideally within a commercial or static site environment.
Technical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and a versatile "can-do" attitude.
Personal Attributes: Excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Driving: A full UK driver's licence and your own vehicle.
