We are recruiting for 6 Full-Time (FTE) positions to provide high-quality housing support and flexible respite care to autistic adults across the region.
Pay Rates & Financial Progression
- Starting Rate: £13.45 per hour
- Post-Engagement Rate: £13.67 per hour
- Progression Scale: Clear pathway to progress to £14.15 per hour
- Sleepover Allowance: Additional £107.60 per sleepover shift worked
Shift Patterns & Working Hours
- Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week / 6 FTE vacancies available)
- Schedule: Day and evening shift patterns, including weekends.
- Flexibility: Requires flexibility to accommodate respite schedules, evening housing visits, and weekend support routines.
Key Responsibilities & Role Overview
As a Respite & Housing Support Worker, you will empower service users to manage their tenancies, enjoy community activities, and provide families with reliable respite cover:
- Housing Support & Independent Living: Assist individuals with day-to-day household chores, tenancy management, meal preparation, and budgeting skills.
- Respite Support: Deliver structured, meaningful respite care both in-home and in the community, giving primary carers a vital break while providing service users with engaging activities.
- Keyworking: Act as a Keyworker-coordinating support plans, tracking goals, and advocating for the individual's choices and needs.
- Personal Care: Deliver respectful, dignified personal care assistance tailored to individual support plans.
- Low-Arousal Approach: Apply positive behavior support strategies using Studio 3 principles to reduce stress and foster safe, comfortable home environments.
