Key Responsibilities
- Support children in residential settings with daily routines, appointments, family contact, and engaging activities.
- Build trust and positive relationships with young people using creative, trauma-informed approaches.
- Confidently de-escalate challenging behaviours to maintain a safe, nurturing environment.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and incident reports to inform long-term care plans.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Minimum 6 months of paid UK care experience (residential child care experience strongly preferred).
- Skills: Strong de-escalation techniques and sound decision-making under pressure.
- Mindset: A calm, non-judgemental, and resilient approach when handling crisis situations.
- Compliance: An active DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). PMVA training is highly desirable.
- Mobility: A full UK driver's license with business insurance is preferred to assist with community activities.
