Role: Taskforce Administrator

Contract Length: 6 to 12 Months
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000

The role
In this role, you'll be at the forefront of providing comprehensive administrative support to the Taskforce and associated national enquiry requirements. The post holder will support administratively; governance, meetings, activity tracking, performance monitoring, data quality, victim engagement processes, intelligence management and reporting requirements. You will also ensure information is accurate, timely and compliant with force and national standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Taskforce, maintaining accurate records, correspondence, trackers, databases and filing systems.
- Co-ordinate and maintain taskforce performance data, ensuring information relating to investigations, safeguarding activity, disruptions, victim engagement and offender management is accurately recorded.
- Maintain oversight trackers for ongoing, reopened and emerging and investigations, ensuring records remain up to date and highlighting risks, gaps, deadlines or outstanding actions from updates provided by Taskforce.
- Organise and administer meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, minute taking, action tracking and dissemination of documents.
- Support the quality assurance process by collating data, maintaining audit records and assisting with the monitoring of compliance against force and national requirements.
- Assist with the management of victim and survivor engagement records, ensuring accurate recording of contact, support referrals, feedback and safeguarding activity in line with data protection requirements.
- Act as a point of contact for internal departments and external safeguarding partners, ensuring requests for information are managed efficiently and appropriately escalated.
- Support the maintenance of training, accreditation and workforce capability records for taskforce personnel, identifying renewals, expiry dates and development requirements.
- Support procurement, finance and resource management processes where required, including monitoring equipment inventories, training bookings and expenditure records.
- Ensure all information is handled securely and in accordance with force policies, information management standards and data protection legislation.
- Undertake any other administrative or co-ordination duties commensurate with the grade of the post.

- Experience of providing high-quality administrative and business support services within a complex organisation.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and competing demands.
- Experience of maintaining accurate records, databases and management information systems.
- Ability to produce spreadsheets, meeting minutes and presentations to a high standard.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Understanding of safeguarding, vulnerability or public protection environments, or the ability to quickly develop knowledge in these areas.
- Experience of working within policing, criminal justice, safeguarding, public protection or multi-agency environments (Desirable).
- Experience of supporting performance management, governance or project delivery activity (Desirable).
- Experience of maintaining records on systems such as Athena, Power BI, APMIS or other performance and case management applications (Desirable).
- Experience of minute taking and action tracking at senior management or partnership meetings (Desirable).
