Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the
o preparation of returns across tax heads including income tax, corporation tax, capital gains tax, capital acquisitions tax and VAT
o review of returns prepared by trainees
- Assisting Tax Directors to ensure compliance deadlines are met * Researching tax technical issues
- Working closely with Tax Directors and Partners on tax projects * Building and maintaining relationships with clients and advising on all relevant tax issues in a timely efficient manner
- Liaising with Revenue on our client's behalf
- Collaborating with colleagues across the firm
- Mentoring trainees and fostering a positive and growth-driven team culture
Skills and competencies
- A qualified Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA)
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in a practice environment * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail and organisational ability
- An enthusiastic team player with a commitment to continually developing as a tax professional
* The ability to work with different taxation software and proficient in Microsoft Office
