In this role, you will facilitate a learning experience that gives every student the opportunity to achieve their full potential. Your core areas will include:
Innovative Teaching: Delivering a broad, balanced, and differentiated Science curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.
Strategic Planning: Designing engaging lesson plans and cutting-edge resources to contribute to the department's growth.
Pastoral Care: Monitoring and supporting the overall personal and academic progress of students as a dedicated Form Tutor.
Collaboration: Actively participating in staff continuous professional development (CPD) and quality assurance to raise student attainment.
We want to meet educators who are ambitious, tenacious, and enterprising. Our ideal candidate brings:
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, paired with a relevant undergraduate degree.
Experience: Successful teaching experience at the secondary level (teaching practice counts!), ideally within diverse, multi-ethnic urban school environments.
Knowledge: A strong understanding of effective teaching theories, National Curriculum requirements, and student assessment.
Mindset: High expectations for all students, excellent time management, and a collaborative spirit. Excellent ICT skills (especially with interactive whiteboards) are highly valued.
