About the Role
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will provide crucial support to our teaching staff and pupils. You will assist in delivering a highly personalised curriculum, helping to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment. Your experience in working with students with special educational needs is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils with complex and severe learning needs (ages 4-19) on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
- Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Provide personal care and support where needed.
- Contribute to the well-being and development of our pupils.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (SEN) is essential.
- Knowledge of various special educational needs is highly desirable.
- A caring, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
