Autism Practitioner
Location: South West Service (Lanark, Carluke, Biggar) - Office & Community-based
Salary: £13.45 - £13.67/hr (Progress up to £14.15/hr) + £107.60 per sleepover
Hours: Full-time (6 roles available; includes days, evenings, and weekends)
Are you a dedicated care professional looking to make a lasting difference? We are seeking compassionate Autism Practitioners to join our South West team. You will support over 48 autistic individuals across housing support, supported living, residential care, and transitional assessment services, helping them live fulfilling, independent lives.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality support tailored to individual outcome-based plans.
Act as a Keyworker, leading regular meetings and participating in care reviews.
Maintain accurate records utilizing internal online digital systems.
Implement low-arousal support following Studio 3 principles to reduce and eliminate restraint.
Collaborate with families, carers, and external partners to maximize service quality.
Requirements
Qualifications: Registered with the SSSC (or equivalent) and holding or willing to work towards a relevant qualification.
Compliance: Active membership in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme is essential.
Skills: Strong communication abilities, digital competency for data logging, and a flexible, creative approach to care.
Attributes: A strong desire to expand your knowledge of autism and reflective practice.
