We are seeking a qualified Accounts Technician with practice experience to join our growing Dublin accountancy firm. You will manage full-cycle bookkeeping, statutory returns, and end-to-end payroll for a diverse portfolio of SME and sole-trader clients.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping: Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, monthly management accounts, bank reconciliations, and year-end trial balance preparation.
Statutory Returns: Prepare and submit VAT, RCT, and PAYE/PRSI returns via Revenue Online Services (ROS).
Payroll Processing: Run weekly, fortnightly, and monthly client payrolls (including BIK, leavers/joiners) and submit PAYE Modernisation (PMR) returns.
Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for client queries and assist with onboarding cloud accounting software.
Key Requirements
Qualification: Certified Accounts Technician (ATI or equivalent).
Experience: 2+ years handling bookkeeping and Irish payroll within an accountancy practice.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Irish tax (VAT, RCT) and payroll legislation (PRSI, BIK).
Software: Proficient in Xero / Sage / QuickBooks and Irish payroll tools (BrightPay / Thesaurus). Strong MS Excel skills.
