The role
The Business Operations Lead oversees all eCommerce operational activity across brand websites governing brief templates and processes. You will work with an outsourced partner to ensure quality, accuracy and that SLAs are met.
In this role, you'll be at the forefront of driving continuous improvement to ensure best practices are in place, efficiencies are realised and new features or functionality are adopted across the sites to drive consumer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Brand Online teams to understand commercial plans and targets, ensuring resource capacity and capability is in place to deliver to them.
- Work with the Senior Business Operations Manager and Business Operations Coordinator to govern briefing processes and documentation.
- Ensure tickets are accurately defined, executed within SLAs, and quality assured before launch.
- Collaborate with the outsource partner to implement opportunities to drive efficiency, automation, and scalability within eCommerce operations.
- Help to define and train out any changes to briefing templates ensuring full knowledge transfer and adoption across brands.
- Ensure that internally handled eCommerce Operations teams are well trained in all systems, working to agreed SLAs, and have clear brief and approval processes in place.
- Liaise closely with the Digital Design Lead to ensure the teams remain in sync across SLAs and ways of working to deliver the best consumer experience.
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with the outsource partner for all eCommerce Operations tasks ensuring quality targets, SLAs, and best practices are adhered to.
- Ensure all eCommerce operations activity is effectively prioritised and executed through the outsourced partner.
- Act as the key point of contact for all content migration activity from legacy platform to Shopify CMS.
- Work closely with Global teams to agree on content approach, ownership, and timescales.
- Align with Regional Brand teams on localisation requirements ensuring sites are updated for regional needs and are legal/compliant.
- Manage the eCommerce set up of Search and Merchandising rules, navigation, and promotions to ensure the site is optimised for launch.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing internal team who manage eCommerce Operations for Brands.
- Foster a high-performance, inclusive culture centred on accountability, learning agility, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure holidays and peak periods are covered and escalate early where capacity may be exceeded.
What you'll bring
- Proven track record in managing digital operations at scale.
- Deep understanding of eCommerce platforms including CMS systems, promotional tools, and other digital experience capability.
- Experience working with an outsource partner ensuring SLAs are met and best practice is in place.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), with experience in e-commerce platforms and Google Analytics.
- Proven experience in managing and mentoring a team in a matrix organisation.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A results-driven mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality online customer experiences.
