Are you a resilient Support Worker who thrives when the stakes are high?
Do you have the clinical "gut instinct" and the emotional intelligence to support young people in crisis?
At Randstad, we are building elite, specialist teams to support the most vulnerable children in our community. These are not "standard" shifts, these are opportunities to provide high level, trauma informed care that creates genuine breakthroughs for young people facing significant challenges.
Why Join a Specialist Randstad Team?
We value your expertise, and our benefits package reflects that:
- Elite Support: Access to local specialist consultants and a close-knit, supportive peer team.
- Referral Bonus: Earn £300 for every specialist peer you refer to us
The Role: Impact in Action
You won't just be "watching over" a young person; you will be the architect of their safety. Your day-to-day will include:
- Crisis Management: Confidently de-escalating heightened behaviours using proven techniques (PMVA).
- Trauma-Informed Care: Understanding the "why" behind behaviours to build trust and security.
- Holistic Support: Managing appointments, family contact, and structured daily activities.
- Clinical Reporting: Delivering high-quality incident reports and insights that shape future care plans.
What You Bring to the Team
We are looking for professionals who offer a blend of skill, commitment, and personality.
- Experience & Skills
- Minimum 6 months of paid UK experience in a residential or crisis setting.
- Proven ability to de-escalate aggression, self-harm, or destructive behaviours with a calm, non-judgemental approach.
- A firm grasp of professional boundaries and "safe touch" protocols.
- PMVA Training is highly desirable (though we can provide training for the right candidates).
- The Mindset
- Resilience: The "staying power" to keep showing up through stressful shifts.
- Observation: The ability to spot micro-changes in a young person's journey.
- Reliability: A commitment to being a consistent figure in a child's life.
