About the Role
We are seeking dedicated Community Support Workers to join our team delivering high quality home care services across West Dunbartonshire Council and neighbouring locations. You will provide essential care to older adults, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life in their own homes.
Working Hours & Shift Patterns
We require candidates who can commit to weekend work across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
You must be able to work split shifts or commit to at least 1 of the 2 available daily shifts (or both as a double-up):
- Early Shift: 08:00 - 13:00
- Late Shift: 16:00 - 21:00
(Note: Shift start/end times may vary by up to 1 hour depending on service needs).
Location: West Dunbartonshire & Surrounding Areas (Clydebank, Glasgow, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, Greenock)
Pay Rates:
- Weekdays: £14.92/hr
- Weekends: £15.34/hr
- Travel: £0.45 per mile while at the service
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering dignified, respectful personal care to older adults in home care settings.
- Safe administration and management of medication.
- Assisting service users with daily living activities and mobility.
- Travelling between service user homes across the local community.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of care experience is essential (older adults care required; Care at Home experience strongly preferred).
- Driving: Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required.
- Location: Must reside within a 1-hour travel radius of West Dunbartonshire (e.g., Clydebank, Glasgow, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, or Greenock).
- Skills: Proven competence in administering medication and personal care.
