The Opportunity: Lay the Foundation for Success
Are you a nurturing and energetic individual passionate about early childhood education? We are seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team in a mainstream primary setting. This is a vital role where you will support our youngest learners during their most formative years, helping to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can flourish through play and discovery.
Key Responsibilities
You will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of the Early Years foundation stage:
- Learning Through Play: Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum by facilitating engaging, play-based activities that promote communication, language, and physical development.
- Individualised Support: Provide one-on-one and small group intervention, helping children meet their early learning goals and supporting those with additional needs.
- Classroom Management: Assist the lead teacher in creating a purposeful and orderly learning environment, both indoors and outdoors.
- Observation & Tracking: Contribute to pupil "learning journeys" by observing and recording progress, sharing key insights with the class teacher and parents.
- Social & Emotional Wellbeing: Help children build confidence, develop social skills, and learn to interact positively with their peers.
- Care & Safety: Ensure the welfare of all pupils, assisting with personal care, snack times, and ensuring a high standard of hygiene and safety throughout the day.
Requirements & Experience
We are looking for a patient, creative, and caring individual who possesses:
- Experience: A minimum of 6 months of experience working with children in a UK school or EYFS setting (Nursery or Reception experience highly preferred/placements & volunteers accepted)
- Compliance: An Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) and eligibility to work in the UK.
- Communication: Good written & verbal English. Excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with young children, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Attitude: A genuine passion for early years education and a commitment to long-term, full-time work.
- References: Professional references from recent employers.
Why Join Us?
We value our staff as much as our pupils. Joining our "Team of Talented Teaching Assistants" comes with a range of benefits:
- Competitive Pay: Daily rates between £95 and £115, paid weekly.
- Supportive Environment: Access to a dedicated professional consultant and a friendly, welcoming school community.
- Perks: Company pension scheme and a Referral Bonus (up to £300 for recommending a friend).
- Career Growth: Gain invaluable experience in a primary setting with access to ongoing professional development and EYFS-specific training.
