We're currently looking for a long-term Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to support nursery and reception children for a Primary school in Rochdale. As a successful candidate, you will be working at a passionate primary school that enhances the curriculum to develop foundational skills and instill positive behavior. This is a consistent, long-term placement where you can truly embed yourself into the school community.
You will be responsible for supporting students in the classroom, creating an uplifting learning environment, as well as continuing your own professional development. It is a highly rewarding role, where qualifications are ideally desired.
This is a full-time position for 5 days per week. Working hours would be from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities:
Your role will consist of play-based learning support and guided reading/phonics sessions with small groups of children in class following the national curriculum.
Helping teachers to plan early years learning activities and complete progress records.
Supporting teachers in managing class behavior using positive reinforcement.
Requirements:
Mandatory: Minimum 3-6 months of recent classroom-based or childcare experience.
An enhanced DBS on the update service.
Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role).
Effective communication skills and discipline.
