An exciting opportunity for a Fabric Engineer / Technician to join a national FM business in the heart of Birmingham. The role is a mix of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Repairs.
This includes:
Carpentry & Joinery: Repairing doors, locks, furniture, and cabinetry.
Building Surfaces: Patching and painting walls, replacing ceiling tiles, and repairing floor coverings (carpet tiles or vinyl).
Basic Plumbing: Fixing leaky taps, unblocking toilets, and maintaining "tea points" or kitchenettes.
Electrical/Mechanical Light Tasks: Changing light bulbs/LEDs, clearing filters on air handling units (AHUs) or fan coil units (FCUs).
Compliance & Safety: Conducting fire door inspections, emergency light testing, and water temperature checks (Legionella control).
Administration: Using a handheld PDA to receive work orders and close out jobs once finished
Qualifications / Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical installations
- Joinery / Carpentry experience
- 18th edition
- Experience working within commercial contracts
- Driving License
