Are you an experienced Children's Social Worker looking for a well-paid locum role within an integrated, forward-thinking service?
Blackburn with Darwen Children's Services is seeking two full-time Family Help Social Workers to join their team. Earning a competitive £39.00 per hour, you will deliver high-quality assessment and statutory safeguarding interventions, managing a mixed caseload of Single Assessments, Child in Need (CIN), and Child Protection (CP) cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessments & Planning: Conduct thorough, timely Single Assessments for children and families requiring support.
- Safeguarding Caseload: Hold and manage a varied caseload of complex Child in Need (CIN) and statutory Child Protection (CP) cases.
- Hybrid Work Model: Work flexibly across remote homeworking and structured office/visit days (minimum 3 days office-based per week).
- Multi-Agency Practice: Collaborate with schools, health services, and early intervention partners to deliver strengths-based family outcomes.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years post-qualifying experience in assessment, long-term safeguarding, or child protection work.
- Professional Registration: Active registration with Social Work England (SWE).
- Transport: Full UK driving licence and access to a car for community visits.
- Systems & Skills: Excellent communication, strong independent case management skills, and a collaborative team approach (experience with LiquidLogic is an advantage).
