Rochdale Borough Council is recruiting enthusiastic, committed Social Workers to join their Family Support and Protection Service. Offering an above-standard rate of up to £39.00 per hour, this post is designed for skilled practitioners who want to be part of Rochdale's exciting transition into the Family Safeguarding Model.

Key Responsibilities:
- Multi-Disciplinary Whole-Family Practice: Work within co-located, multi-disciplinary teams alongside specialist adult practitioners to deliver direct assessments and whole-family interventions.
- Child Protection & Court Work: Hold a statutory caseload involving child protection (CP) plans, child in need (CIN) planning, pre-proceedings (PLO), and care proceedings.
- Direct Work & Interventions: Engage in meaningful, relational direct work with children and families to drive sustainable safety and positive outcomes.
- Agile Practice: Utilize motivational interviewing skills and multidisciplinary practice tools to manage risk and promote family resilience.
What We Are Looking For:
- Qualifications & SWE: Recognised Social Work qualification with active Social Work England (SWE) registration.
- CP & Court Expertise: Proven experience in statutory Child Protection casework and managing Care Proceedings.
- Practice Approach: Ability to demonstrate high-level practice experience, a collaborative whole-family mindset, and adaptability during service transformation.
- Mobility: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for community visits across the Rochdale borough.
