About the Opportunity
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a care provider in the North East. They are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and proactive Female Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting a female service user with neurodivergent needs in the Sunderland area.

Gender Requirement: This post is open to female applicants only. This is a Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR) under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010, as the role involves providing personal care and one-to-one support for a female service user.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personalised, person-centred care and support in line with individual care plans.
- Assisting with personal care, daily living activities, household duties, and community access.
- Utilising proactive strategies to support sensory needs, anxiety, and neurodivergent behaviours.
- Promoting choice, dignity, and independence at all times.
- Maintaining accurate logs, shift records, and clear handovers.
Essential Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months' recent UK care/support work experience within the last 2 years.
- Specialist Knowledge: A strong, practical understanding of Autism (ASD) and ADHD.
- Right to Work: Proof of Right to Work in the UK (Sponsorship cannot be provided).
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible rota covering both day and night shifts.
Desirable Requirements
- Driving: Full UK Driving Licence with access to a car is highly preferred to facilitate community outings.
