Looking for a stable, full-time classroom role across West Sussex or Surrey? We are seeking a reliable, adaptable Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term placement supporting schools across West Sussex and Surrey. Because our partner schools are spread across rural and suburban locations with varying public transport links, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this position.
This role provides consistent Monday-to-Friday school hours on an ongoing term-time contract. It is ideal for an experienced support assistant, an aspiring teacher, or someone with a background in childcare, care, or youth work who wants regular, full-time weekday work close to home.
Responsibilities:- Working full-time hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM) alongside classroom teachers.
- Leading small group intervention sessions in core literacy, phonics, and numeracy.
- Providing dedicated 1:1 learning and behavioural support for pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH).
- Fostering an inclusive, encouraging, and safe classroom environment.
- Assisting with classroom setup, learning displays, and break-time supervision.
- Driving Licence & Car: Valid UK Driving Licence and access to a reliable vehicle (Essential).
- Availability: Full-time availability (Monday to Friday, standard school hours).
- Experience: Prior experience supporting children or young people (in schools, nurseries, sports coaching, care, or youth work).
- Skills: Strong communication skills and confident foundational English and Maths.
- Compliance: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one) and valid Right to Work in the UK.
- Long-Term Consistency: Enjoy full-time Monday-to-Friday schedules and ongoing placement stability.
