We are looking for a visionary Headteacher to take the helm of our specialist school in Coalville. Key Priorities:
Visionary Leadership: Develop a strategy that aligns with "The Aurora Way," transforming the school into a beacon of excellence.
Holistic Development: Ensure the curriculum goes beyond academics, focusing on life skills, independence, and successful transitions to adulthood.
Empowering Staff: Recruit and mentor a staff team where everyone-from teachers to support services-understands their unique contribution to student outcomes.
Safety & Excellence: Maintain rigorous standards through the SEF and SDP, ensuring that safeguarding and quality compliance are never compromised.
Community Impact: Build strategic relationships with local authorities and partner agencies to advocate for the wider SEN agenda.
Who You Are
You are a proactive, empathetic leader who thrives under pressure and views every challenge as an opportunity to innovate.
Your Background:
Proven Leadership: Experience as a Head, Deputy, or Assistant Head within a specialist school setting.
Subject Matter Expert: Deep knowledge of SLD and ASD issues, with a track record of using IEPs and assessment data to raise student achievement.
Strategic Thinker: Skilled in school development planning, self-evaluation, and managing complex budgets.
Credentials: You hold an NPQH or are ready to work toward one.
Hands-on Approach: You lead from the front, willing to engage in classroom teaching, physical intervention, or personal care routines as needed to support your team.
