We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join the central HR team for a leading Multi-Academy Trust. Based at the Head Office in Croydon, you will report to an HR Business Partner and serve as a vital link between the central function and individual schools. This is a fast-paced role providing operational support and expert guidance across a large, complex educational landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations: Act as the lead advisor on a range of ER cases, coaching line managers through disciplinary, grievance, and performance management procedures.
Change Management: Lead and support critical change processes, including TUPE transfers, formal consultations, and contract variations.
Operational Excellence: Ensure HR best practice is maintained across the Trust, ensuring compliance with employment law and education-specific regulations.
Academy Engagement: Build strong, credible relationships with School Leaders through regular site visits and face-to-face support.
Requirements The successful candidate must demonstrate:
ER Expertise: Strong experience managing complex employee relations cases with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
TUPE & Change: Proven practical experience in handling TUPE processes and organisational restructuring.
Complex Organisations: Experience working within a large-scale, multi-site organisation (experience within a Multi-Academy Trust or the wider education sector is highly desirable).
Flexibility: A hybrid model is in place (Mon/Wed/Fri in office); however, you must be flexible to visit academies on home-working days (Tue/Thu) as required.
Working Pattern & Interview Process
Hybrid Model: Office-based Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Home-based Tuesday and Thursday.
Interview: We aim to appoint as soon as possible. The process will consist of a one-stage interview held at the Croydon Head Office.
