The Project Scope
As an Independent Assessor, you will manage the end-to-end assessment process for prospective foster carers:
The Assessment Journey: Conduct full, robust statutory assessments of prospective mainstream foster carers using the CoramBAAF Form F framework.
Evidence Gathering: Undertake required home visits, interviews, and reference checks to evaluate the applicants' suitability, resilience, and skills.
Panel Presentation: Compile a highly analytical, legally defensible report and virtually or physically present your completed assessment to the Fostering Panel.
Mandatory Candidate Criteria
To be considered for this independent project, you must meet the following strict compliance standards:
Professional Registration: You MUST have an active registration with Social Care Wales.
Form F Track Record: Proven experience in writing and successfully passing Form F assessments through a local authority or Independent Fostering Agency (IFA) panel.
Self-Management: Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to work independently to meet strict statutory timescales and deadlines.
