We are seeking a talented Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) for a long-term contract starting in September 2026 at a supportive partner Primary School based in Stevenage. Spanning Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classrooms, this progressive primary school is committed to fostering academic excellence alongside student well-being. We need an enthusiastic practitioner who can craft differentiated learning pathways, mentor classroom support staff, and empower every pupil to reach their potential.
Core Responsibilities
- Bespoke Lesson Planning: Design, differentiate, and deliver high-impact lessons tailored to varied learning paces, adhering strictly to National Curriculum guidelines.
- Interactive Instruction: Incorporate active learning techniques, modern phonics frameworks, and core numeracy strategies into daily teaching to accelerate pupil development.
- Classroom Team Leadership: Manage and inspire room Teaching Assistants to maintain a coordinated, safe, and positive environment for learning and behaviour management.
- Holistic Assessment: Utilise robust tracking tools to evaluate academic milestones, pinpoint intervention needs, and celebrate individual pupil growth.
- Multidisciplinary Liaison: Work closely with the SENCO, key stage coordinators, and senior leadership to deliver targeted support for SEND and EAL learners.
- Parental Partnerships: Build open, empathetic, and regular lines of communication with parents and carers to establish a unified support network for every child.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. Open to both experienced teachers and outstanding Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with mainstream UK primary experience.
- Subject & Pedagogical Mastery: Thorough knowledge of primary curriculum milestones, adaptive teaching methodologies, and positive behaviour strategies.
- Emotional Resilience: A calm, patient, and confident demeanour capable of maintaining an orderly, focused, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborative Mindset: A genuine desire to work within a close-knit teaching staff that prioritises the holistic development of every student.
- Compliance Checks: Holds an Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (or readiness to complete a new application via Randstad).
