We are seeking an enthusiastic Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) for a long-term position starting September 2026 at a vibrant partner Primary School in Stevenage. Covering Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, this modern primary school offers a collaborative atmosphere where every student is empowered to succeed. We need a forward-thinking educator who can design adaptive learning plans, lead classroom teams effectively, and foster a warm space where children achieve their full potential.
Core Responsibilities
- Curriculum Design & Delivery: Plan, differentiate, and deliver high-impact lessons tailored to the specific learning paces and diverse needs of your class, aligning strictly with National Curriculum standards.
- Interactive Core Teaching: Seamlessly incorporate interactive teaching strategies, modern phonics frameworks, and practical numeracy methods into daily instruction to drive pupil progress.
- Classroom Team Guidance: Inspire, direct, and manage room Teaching Assistants to maintain a coordinated, safe, and positive approach to learning and behaviour management.
- Pupil Progress Assessment: Utilise robust formative assessment protocols to accurately monitor, record, and celebrate individual pupil academic milestones and personal growth.
- Multidisciplinary Support: Collaborate regularly with the SENCO, key stage coordinators, and senior leadership to ensure targeted intervention for SEND and EAL pupils.
- Parental Engagement: Maintain clear, empathetic, and constructive communication with parents and carers to establish a consistent network of support for every child's success.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential. Open to both experienced teachers and exceptional Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a proven track record in UK primary schools.
- Pedagogical Understanding: Solid grasp of adaptive teaching pedagogy, primary milestone expectations, and positive behaviour reinforcement strategies.
- Resilient Demeanour: A calm, grounded, and patient approach capable of leading a classroom confidently while keeping pupils focused and motivated.
- Collaborative Mindset: A genuine desire to work as part of a unified teaching team that puts the holistic well-being and achievement of the child first.
- Vetting Checks: Holds an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or readiness to complete a new application via Randstad).
