We are recruiting an exceptional Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) for a long-term position starting September 2026 at a welcoming partner Primary School in Stevenage. Covering Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, this progressive primary school provides a rich learning environment dedicated to pupil growth. We need a forward-thinking teacher who can tailor lessons to diverse capabilities, lead classroom support staff effectively, and foster an environment where every pupil thrives.
Your Responsibilities
- Adapted Curriculum Planning: Formulate and teach tailored, high-impact lessons aligned strictly with National Curriculum guidelines to suit varied pupil capabilities.
- Core Subject Mastery: Use interactive teaching tools, practical maths strategies, and modern phonics schemes to advance pupil performance.
- Classroom Team Guidance: Direct and mentor room Teaching Assistants to maintain a safe, highly organised, and positive learning space.
- Progress Tracking: Utilise structured assessment systems to record individual pupil milestones, evaluate growth, and celebrate academic achievements.
- Multidisciplinary Liaison: Work closely alongside the SENCO, key stage coordinators, and school leadership to support SEND and EAL pupils effectively.
- Parental Partnerships: Maintain clear, encouraging communication with parents and carers to build a strong home-school connection.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential. Open to both experienced educators and outstanding Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with UK primary teaching experience.
- Pedagogical Knowledge: Solid grasp of primary curriculum expectations, adaptive teaching methods, and positive behaviour reinforcement.
- Resilient Demeanour: A calm, patient, and grounded approach to maintaining an attentive, supportive classroom environment.
