We're currently looking for a long-term Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teaching Assistant to support children for a Primary school in Rochdale. As a successful candidate, you will be working at a passionate primary school that enhances the curriculum to develop reading, writing, and math skills while instilling positive behavior in Years 1 and 2.
You will be responsible for supporting students consistently in the classroom, creating an uplifting learning environment, as well as continuing your own professional development within a stable team.
This is a full-time position for 5 days per week. Working hours would be from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities:
Your role will consist of guided reading and targeted math interventions with small groups of children in class following the national curriculum.
Helping teachers to plan learning activities and complete student records.
Supporting teachers in managing Key Stage 1 class behavior.
Requirements:
Mandatory: Minimum 3-6 months of recent classroom-based or childcare experience.
An enhanced DBS on the update service.
Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role).
Effective communication skills and discipline.

Be willing to be fully involved in the life of the school community.
