Salary/Rate: £160 - £235+ per day (dependent on experience)
About the Role:
Randstad Education is seeking a knowledgeable and passionate KS5 Social Sciences Teacher to join a progressive secondary school and sixth form in the Witham area. Part of a leading national academy trust, the school boasts excellent sixth-form facilities and a supportive team environment.
This role focuses primarily on Key Stage 5 delivery across A-Level Psychology and/or Sociology, with potential timetable allocations at Key Stage 4. Whether you are an experienced Teacher of Social Sciences or an ambitious ECT seeking a specialized sixth-form placement, this position offers an immediate start to deliver engaging, high-standard post-16 education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver outstanding Key Stage 5 lessons across A-Level Psychology and/or A-Level Sociology.
- Prepare students for linear A-Level examinations, developing high-level critical analysis, essay writing, and evaluation skills.
- Track, assess, and report on student progress to ensure high attainment targets across the sixth-form cohort.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and academic pastoral support for Key Stage 5 students.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS) or recognised secondary/further education teaching qualification.
- Degree specialism in Psychology, Sociology, or a related Social Science discipline.
- Proven experience delivering A-Level curriculum content (KS5 focus).
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one immediately via Randstad).
- Full right to work in the UK.
